Cheerful Music Continues Cross-Cultural Collaboration Through Third Writing Camp

In May 2026, Cheerful Music successfully hosted its third international songwriting camp, “Discover Chinese Melody • Early Summer Edition,” in Shenzhen, China.

From May 20–25, the writing camp brought together artists, producers, and songwriters from diverse musical and cultural backgrounds to explore Chinese-inspired melodies through a global perspective. Participating artists included SOUMIX, Michaelachel, Liu Jialiang (MARSIX), Bingwen Wu, CPJ Youxi Chen, and NICHENG. This edition also welcomed artists from Yunnan Province and musicians specializing in traditional Chinese instruments, incorporating elements of Yunnan dialects, regional culture, and the distinctive sound of the pipa into the creative process.
